RE: Hacks For Eggs

in #food8 years ago

I love eggs as well. I'm a low-carber, and this is a staple in my breakfast. Used to consume 6 a day (down to 4 at the moment). I need to be more creative in ways of preparing them, though.

Sort:

I eat at least 6 a day. It is a myth that you can eat 'too many' eggs. For a couple of months I was mainly having eggs, sometimes with additional sausages, combined with brocoli, spinach, and some other greens I forget which just now. I found a meal like this with 4 eggs, a bit of sausage, and lots of greens, cooked in a mix of lard and sunflower oil, I didn't even feel hungry for at least 8 hours afterwards. Meanwhile, if I eat a high carb meal, low in fat, I am hungry in 3 hours.

I don't lower my carbs because I am trying to lose weight, when I have high carb food, my body just turns up the heater and all that extra energy gets burned up anyway, I am congenitally incapable of getting fat. All that excess burning surely must be leaving oxidative radicals in my system so it's a doubling of the loss.
