Vitamin C content of mango : 203% of recommended daily intake in one mango
source
On average, a mango contains almost all of your daily vitamin C requirements. This fleshy fruit is also a good source of vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin B6 and minerals such as fiber, potassium and copper. Note that it can be eaten just as well as in accompaniment of salty dishes.
You will recognize a mature mango when it yields under light finger pressure, or if you see traces of sugar at the base of the tail. Be aware, however, that for export purposes, mangoes are often picked green.

interesting article. thank you
we love mangoes, but unfortunately, they do not grow here and therefore are very expensive. When they are in season though we eat one every single day! nice info, thank you.
