Today I decided to go to Sketches cafe in Burwood for lunch. The special of the day was baked eggs so I decided to try it. The portion was huge! It came with mushrooms, asparagus, chorizo, bacon, red capsicum, onion, and spinach. The toasted baguette with butter was crunchy. A very filling meal but I think it would have been better with some freshly cracked pepper. I prefer my usual order of smashed avacado breakfast so I think I will stick to that next time.
The cafe was not busy so the food came quickly and the service was friendly. There were lots of windows and natural light.
This is a nice cafe worth a visit if you are in the area.

I miss Melbourne so much. Wait you did not give us your final review of the food. Was it worth a visit to the Café or not? And should we order the baked eggs?
Edited to give more information. I like this cafe and I enjoyed the baked eggs but next time I would order my usual!
Got it and thanks. My boyfriend used to live in Melbourne. Not sure is he ever went there. I will ask. SO the usual is Smashed Avocado. I have no idea what that is but it sounds great.
It is avocado with poached egg, feta cheese, hash brown, tomato, spinach and sourdough toast
Oh my goodness.... YUM!! I still haven't had lunch, you're killing me here!! ; )
Time to get some food ;)
Oh you're telling me!!!!
looks good. Melbourne is Food Heaven. But I would also prefer a avo toast with bacon and/or egg.
Yes Melbourne is a foodie paradise.
