Hey Steemit sweethearts, I just got back from a cafe hopping trip with my girl friend. We were out and about for the entire day and discovered really adorable cafes today. I just couldn't wait to come home and share these cute places with you guys!! Follow me!
Today as usual it is still raining here in Bangkok but luck was on our side, once we got to our first stop the rain vanished.
The first place we went is located on a small alley called Rangnam at Ratchatevee district. It is called Kay's Boutique Breakfast and they serve All-Day-breakfast that comes in A-La-Cate menu. Even though this place is not quite known by tourists, you can easily get there by following you best friend; "Google Map".
An overall decoration is fairly modern, using mainly simple black and white. Kay's Boutique Breakfast is ideally for eating, not quite a place where you want to come to chill and chit chat with a group of friends as the place is rather quite. If you want to enjoy reading then this is the place.
I was very impressed with the quality of their coffee. My hot Americano exceeded my expectation, you don't really have many good coffee around. I don't like my coffee fruity or sour but this one here is just how I like it. However I was being safe with my choice of food; King of Benny it was.
Nicely prepared but I found the potion was a little too small for the price (3/5)
On the other hand, my friend had her OMO omelette. It was cheaper than my Egg Benedict but bigger potion ... Why ...
I didn't have my share on this one but my friend managed to finish the whole plate herself so I assumed it was good.
We decided to share so called "dessert". Belgium Chocolate Toast served with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. Sex Bomb.
From the menu it looked like a small piece of toast, wrong. It was a huge chunk but as good as it looks here. (4/5)
- Overall rating for Kay's Boutique Breakfast (3.5/5)
However the highlight here for me is actually their toilet. I mean, take a look.
How fancy! They have a washing basin in the middle of the toilet and what's up with the light? I need that light in my toilet too!!
And dudes, check out this considerate gesture, they put a picture of a cute food right across you while doing your business. Kay's Boutique Breakfast gets a (5/5) for their restroom.
The picture is slanted but still; take my 5.
Alright I was well fed, moving on! Here is how it looks from the outside.
After that we drove off to get some girly stuffs and did a bit of shopping we stopped at another cutest place around! This place is called "Tam-Ma-Da" it is a Thai word means "Ordinary". What a humble name for such an adorable little den. Almost like a Hobbit House when you set your foot inside.
We got ourselves a cup of iced tea, mine was Beal Fruit tea. Refreshing enough though. Let's check out the interior of this cafe.
Tiny and cozy yet well-equipped with necessities for food and beverage preparation.
The food they are serving are more of fusion Thai style, the menu are hand drawn including this signboard.
I particularly love the two bears containers of salt and chili flake. If you need more selection of condiments feel free to get what you need from this beautifully arranged condiments corner.
Whoever puts that tiny ribbon on the pumpkin, thank you.
Tam-Ma-Da is all about organic and handmade vibe, they have a corner of their souvenirs up for sell. Knitted hats and socks and 100% organic lip balm, hand cream and soaps. It is seriously a little Western world escape for me.
When my girl friend showed me this picture of myself sitting in this little corner I can't believe it is in a middle of busy Aree district; Bangkok. I would definitely come back here again!
So that was my day today. How was yours? I hope you enjoy this two small cafes and list them down to your Bangkok trip the next time you visit Thailand.
Thank you for reading this post my friends.
Stay tuned for my next post if you like my blog!
Love a ton,
Annie xo
Oooh the second cafe is so cute with all the random stuff inside it haha.
The first one looked super modern and sleek, I love places that make an effort even with a seemingly unimportant (but very important!) area such as a bathroom. Thanks for showing us around!
I just found a list of more cool cafes I would love to visit, Kay's Boutique Breakfast is just so-so but good for pictures but I don't own a nice proper camera so my photo quality is like.. like that you know. lol!! And yes!! that seemingly unimportant table of the condiments, I was so in love!!
Your photos are pretty good still! Are you using an iPhone? I find using my iPhone is not too bad sometimes, I do have a simple Point and Shoot camera for when I can be bothered carrying it (not often) and it is worth buying one as it does make a difference!
