Hello and welcome to another Steemit recipe post from Simple and easy recipes.
Today I will be explaining how to create a fresh and healthy Turkish pie all from scratch.
Ingredients
- One bag of white toast bread diced
- 3 eggs
- 3 tablespoons yogurt
- One onion diced
- One red bell pepper diced
- One green bell pepper diced
- One medium carrot shredded
- 3 tablespoons mashed garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- ½ cup of diced parsley
- ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- One cup of cooked bacon, sausage, ham, turkey or any layover meat you have (beef, chicken)
- Olive oil
- Salt, pepper, paprika, Cajun.
- 1 teaspoon of each dried basil, oregano, thyme
For garnish: 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella or cheddar
For serving: 1/4 cup hot sauce, 1/4 cup mustard, 2 tablespoon ketchup
Method
1.On a cooking pan, add olive oil when it is hot add onion, garlic stir for 3 minutes then add the other vegetables cook until they become tender. Add the diced cooked bacon, sausage, ham, and turkey. Stir for 3 to 4 minutes then add salt, pepper, paprika and Cajun mix all together.
2. In a deep bowl, mix eggs, yogurt, parsley, cinnamon, black pepper then add the diced toast and meat with vegetables, cheese mix lightly.
3. Spray oven pan, lined with parchment paper pour the mix and press with hands firmly to be spread evenly add the batter on the top .
4. Bake in a preheated oven 350 for 20 minutes or until it has nice golden color.
5. Take it out of oven and sprinkle with the cheese and serve hot with the serving sauce

Looks delicious, however, I couldn't eat it unless I could find something non-gluten to replace the bread. Not sure what that would be. Excellent recipe none the less. :)

Awesome. I haven't tried to make any gluten free breads yet. But I did make a good batter the other day with buckwheat, rice, coconut and corn flours combined with other bits and bobs. Used it to make some marrow fritters. If I had a spare moment I'd make a post with the recipe.
