Martha Sgubin was the family cook for President Kennedy and his lovely family.
Home made ice cream is simply delicious to the taste buds.
8 cups of heavy cream
1 1/2 cups of sugar
3 cups fresh peaches, peeled, seeded, and crushed
Juice of 2 lemons, strained
This recipe makes 3-4 quarts.
Scald the cream, then take the pan off the heat and stir in the sugar until it is dissolved.
Stir in the peaches and any juice in the bowl, then the strained lemon juice.
Let cool, then freeze in an ice cream maker.
