Homemade chicken nuggets, simple and delicious

Hi guys, making your own food is definitely healthier, because we can choose good and fresh ingredients, and don't use flavorings. But it cannot be denied that our busy lives sometimes mean we don't have time to cook for our families, so we buy food outside.

This time I made my own chicken nuggets for my family. My daughter loves eating chicken nuggets. I often buy it at the supermarket for her. So I think it's better to make your own chicken nuggets, it's definitely healthier.

Oh yes, yesterday a friend of mine gave me a meat grinder as a gift, I don't know for what purpose he gave me the gift. He said he got a lot of good fortune so he wanted to share it with me. My friend is a good person. Because I got a new meat grinder, I'm excited to use it.

Ingredients

  • 200 gr boneless chicken
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 1 medium sized carrot
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • 2 tablespoons wheat flour (for dough)
  • 100 gr wheat flour (to coat the nugets before frying)
  • 150 gr bread flour
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 stalk of leek
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt

Now we start making it.

Grind the chicken using a meat grinder

Grate cheese and carrots. I purposely grated the carrots into a coarse shape so that the carrot flavor could be felt. Roughly chop the spring onions.

Then I crushed the garlic. For the onions, I cut them coarsely. Next, I heated a little oil in a frying pan, then I sauteed the finely chopped garlic and onions. You don't need to stir-fry it for long, as long as it smells good, remove the spices.

Then in a large bowl, I added ground chicken, grated cheese, carrots, leeks, tapioca flour, wheat flour, sauteed spices, salt and eggs. Stir all ingredients until combined.

After that, I steamed the ingredients in a container lined with banana leaves. My goal is to put a banana leaf as a base so that when the dough is cooked, it won't stick to the container.

Steam the nuget mixture for about 30 minutes, then remove from heat and leave until the chicken nugets are cool. Once the nuget mixture has cooled, cut it into small rectangular shapes. I cut them in different shapes, because my daughter wanted the chicken nuggets to be small sticks. The result was quite a lot, around 40 pieces.

After finishing cutting the chicken nuggets, then I melted 100 grams of wheat flour with water, not too thick and not too runny, I also prepared the breadcrumbs in a plastic plate. I put the nuggets in the melted flour, then lift them and put them in the breadcrumbs, coat the nugets with breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Once the nuggets are ready to be coated in flour, the nuggets are ready to be fried.

I also prepared oil to fry the nuggets. And here are my homemade chicken nuggets. Wow, it tastes delicious, no less than the chicken nuget that I usually buy. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My daughter really likes it. Served with tomato sauce makes it even tastier.
