Dear Steem Team,
More cooking fun chez Restaurant Priya this week!
Here are a few super easy steps to make Salmon en croute, while making Mr.Fish look like a fish :)
- Mix some ancient grain dijon mustard with some creme fraiche or sour cream for those in North America :)
Spread that on a puff pastry on top of the fish. Under the fish you may add spinach!
- Ensure Mr. Fish is really in the centre of the puff pastry and then brush egg wash on surrounding dough.
- Place a second sheet of puff pastry on top and seal well around the fish with a fork
- Design Mr. Fish with some scales using a knife and brush again the top with the egg wash.
- Bake at 200C for 20min
- Voila! Very delicious and bursting with the flavor of the salmon as well as the mustard. It really compliments in flavors!
I had a huge fillet of salmon (from Costco Paris! Amazing) So I made mine more square, but for smaller fillets, feel free to make better curvier more fish shapes :)
Plus the inside is perfectly cooked, flaky and moist!
Bon appetit! Tell me how you like it when you try! Would love to see your pics!
