Hello everyone,
Have you ever cut open a juicy papaya and scooped out the "alien-egg-like" seeds, wondering whether or not those seeds are edible on their own?
This morning, as I was eating breakfast, I pondered this out loud. Thankfully, we have Google to answer our everyday questions now.
As I searched for my answer, not wanting to toss the seeds if indeed there was another use for them, I came across an amazing article that had all the answers. On superfoodprofiles.com there was a list of seven papaya seed health benefits, including digestive enzymes. I was surprised that a sweet fruit could have such a bitter tasting seed, but it reminded me of black pepper. Personally, I've decided to dry them for further use.
There is a plethora of information online about papaya seeds and how to use them for your health. I encourage you to check it out and enjoy!
oh I LOVE PAPAYA! amazing fruit 😊
Do you use the seeds as well?
