Food Market in Dubai

in #food7 years ago (edited)

Food markets are some of my favourite places in every city.

In Dubai, spices, dates and nuts definitely stand out.

These halwas also looked charming. They are extremely sweet and tasty at the same time. I found them at the Turkish stand.

Dried yoghurt is very common here. It looks interesting but when I tried it, I wasn't too sure whether I like it or I just want to forget about it.

More nuts. Maybe something for @oldtimer's squirrel.

And here's one for my Balkan Steemians. I'm sure you know it. I found it at the Bosnian stand. It was the winner of the day for me.

I know many of my posts feature nice restaurants but honestly, food doesn't have to be expensive to be good. Finding a good bite where you wouldn't expect it at first sight can be really rewarding.

I can never get tired of your posts and photos! You make everything so appealing. I can't imagine how can you go by such good looking halwas stand without buying something... They really look delicious!

I was already full from the other stands. Maybe next time :)

Wow, they look really spicy. Would love to try them out although I've never been to Dubai before but from the way they look I can tell they are nice.
Thanks for sharing

Greetings @pectinton, how nice are the markets in dubai really, yes, you can see that they have varieties of products and very good quality, and the bite looks really appetizing for sure it was very good, I hope the past very well in the market. Greetings

I love these markets, in many countries there are similarities I see on TV espro visit any at any time, It would be good to visit Dubai

Yes it is definitely worth visiting.

You're right, it's worth it, it's an incredible place

looking great food in dubai! i am waiting for my visit to dubai!

I have never seen the dry yogurt that it is? What could it be used for? there are many interesting things in that market

It is yogurt that is molded and then dried on the sun. I suppose they do this to preserve it in this heat.

You are absolutely right in what you say, the food should not be expensive to be good or interesting, personally I love what is in that market I'm curious about halwas what is it?

It's a type of sweets made from sesame paste, sugar, nuts and various additional ingredients. Very interesting but you can't eat a lot of it because it's super sweet.

Congratulations for your post. Beautiful photos, you made me hungry...

Hehe that's a good achievement

This is beautiful. I always wanted to go to a market like this. In all my travels, I have never seen anything like this. Sure, I have been to farmer's markets, but never with an impressive selection of spices or cool pastries like those halwas. Maybe I need to go to Dubai!

Come by, it's really worth visiting.

Never knew dried yogurt was a thing.... Spices in other countries always look way fresher than what I'm used to seeing in the USA.

Tell me about it. I thought they were candies until i put one in my mouth. But the spices are fresh and smell really good.

mice food your life style is really good
