Last spring the new restaurant “AirRepublic” of Sergio Herman opened in Cadzand, a small coast village between Belgium and Holland.
Off course we needed to visit and find out that the location really is stunning. End of May on a beautiful sunny Sunday we headed out for lunch. Enjoy some pics below from the view and food!
In the same village you can also find “Pure C” */ 17,5 GM with Chef Syrco Bakker & team. Syrco a former sous-chef worked for several years side by side with Sergio in his first and famous restaurant Oud-Sluis ***/19,5 GM.
Approachable restaurant
The restaurant wants to meet a wide audience with on the menu beside to fish, shellfish, Sergio's distinctive light and fresh vegetable preparations. Simple dishes with the focus on local products from “Zeeland”.

As an ode to his father, there will also be Ronnie Herman's dishes on the card that formed the basis of Sergio's career.
Grilled langoustines with verbena butter, dry aged beef with fresh béarnaise, eel in green sauce ...
I think i don't have to tell you that the food really is delicious, but that's what you can expect from Master Herman.
