Shortbread cookies for Easter. You can cover with sugar glaze of different colors, adding food coloring.
1 1/4 cup sugar
150 g of butter
2 eggs
3 1/2 cups of flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 tsp. orange peel
1 tbsp. orange juice
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
In a bowl, grind sugar with room temperature oil. Add the eggs.
Mix flour with baking powder and salt, gradually add to the oil. Add the zest and orange juice.
Roll out the dough on the flour-padded surface. The dough should be about 5-8 mm thick.
Cut buntings or other figures into a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
Cover with glaze.
