These days it is becoming difficult for me to source some of my foods. Not that food is not available, but I have become very selective of what I eat. I keep looking for organic food. Again, organic food these days is very deceptive, they sometimes term it as organic but when you try to find out from where it's sourced you will understand that it is not. Ya, it may be much cleaner than the regular stuff but not organic. I have been following some food experts on Insta and I get some very valuable knowledge from them on diet.
For the food truly to be organic, on what soil it's grown, how it's grown, everything matters. Most of the soil on Earth is now chemically treated so it is difficult to find 100% organic food. Even people growing food at home, for them also what they use in their soil. If they have acquired the land new then before them how the soil was treated, all of this matters.
That's true that I do not manage to find everything 100% organic but then I try for as much as possible clean food. There are so many foods which are almost eliminated from my kitchen, because they are not very necessary from nutrition stand point and I do not miss it much not having it. One of it is Cheese. A few days back I visited a store and I found a variety of cheese and then my eyes got on this one, which I was always looking for.
It's an organic cheddar, made with grass fed organic cow milk in a small farm. You may find organic cheese in variety in stores but the important thing is what the cows are fed also matters. If they are grain fed, then there is high level of gluten in the cow milk. So even though it may be 100% organic, it's not gluten free. We do not put so much thought to these things, and just go ahead with wherever it is mentioned organic. In many parts of the world these products are easy to source, but not in my side of the world. These foods are exotic and they come at a very high price.
The one which is Mature Cheddar Cheese is my pick.
I bought in small quantity to try out first. I am fussy about the taste so if it does not suit my pallet then I will have to give it a pass on this one even if it is a good source. The good thing is that I liked the taste and now I know where I can get it from, so I am going to get it regularly.
There is a lot of variety available, I am not sure how they would all taste and I do not think I am going to try also.
These are all exotic ones, not the ones that I see in my local market. I am sure there must be a market for it and hence it is being sold. I am happy that I have managed to found my choice of Cheese finally :-)
