Ingredients
225 grams of chickpea flour
225 grams of rice flour
150 grams of cane sugar
two tablespoons of potato starch
1 package yeast
1/2 cup of rum
rice milk as much as needed (or another type of milk)
grated rind of one lemon
oil for frying enough to completely immerse the small balls (I used sunflower oil)
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients gradually adding the milk and the rest of the ingredients except for the oil.
- Mix with your hands until it reaches the right consistency and make a sphere of dough.
- Form many small balls.
- Pour the oil in a deep pan and heat it over medium heat until it reaches the right temperature. (to understand when it's is ready, throw in a little small piece of dough)
- Based on the capacity of the pot pour in a few balls at a time.
- Fry until the balls are golden. Then drain them on a plate with paper towels.
- Finally sprinkle everything with powdered sugar.
