Who said there is no such thing as a free food?

This free food is called “Langer”. No one goes hungry. Everyone gets a hot meal . Everyone sits crossed-legged on the carpet in a line, the food is served by the volunteers. More than 90 percent volunteers are visitors. The food includes dal(pulses), vegetables, Roti(Bread or chapati) and a thick South Asian rice pudding called kheer.

The concept of langars was initiated centuries ago by Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh religion more than 500 years ago.
