Kojo bolu name may not be as familiar as other types of sponge cake in other areas in Indonesia. But in South Sumatra, the name of this food is very popular, especially in the areas of Riau, Palembang, Bengkulu, and Jambi. Bolu kojo or kemojo sponge is a sponge cake that has a shape like frangipani flower. The shape is the result of a baking mold that deliberately made to resemble frangipani flowers. Usually, the people of Jambi make kojo sponge as a cake to break the fast.
