IN-N-OUT AND FIVE GUYS!!......BOTH ARE EPIC!!!
Soooooo kids, Here is the question I want to ask you.....Which do you love more?
I grew up in Southern California, so IN-N-OUT was part of my childhood. I will never forget the smell when you'd walk in the door! It was always packed with cars and people, even late at night!!!

The burgers have gooey cheese, and I like them with grilled onions! Sometimes I even order them with both kinds of onions! The lettuce is always crispy, and the tomatoes are cold and fresh. I can just taste one now!!
I love to watch them fresh cut the potatoes, and cook them while you watch. They pull them out, salt them and serve them hot! It is actually exciting! LOL
With your cheeseburger & fries you HAVE to order a shake! They are SOOO creamy! And they serve them with a FAT straw! DELICIOUS!!
After all these years, the quality is still the same!!!
Ok, so now since I don't live near an IN-N-OUT, which is SUCH a bummer, I go to Five Guys. It is also a great burger! You can order a cheeseburger with everything! Even mushrooms, and jalapanos if you want! The lettuce is also crispy, and the tomatoes are fresh! The shakes are also fresh and creamy, YUM!
Another fun part about Five Guys is that they have baskets of shelled peanuts everywhere to munch on! My kids love the peanuts!
So what's the verdict?......For me, IN-N-OUT is the WINNER! If I was dying, I think I would want it to be my last meal! LOL
But Five Guys is a nice back up! I would LOVE to hear which one YOU like better!

They are both equally good. But I'm gonna have to give Five Guys the slight edge here in terms of taste. Otherwise I love both!

Animal style is the bomb! I have to drive about 3-4 hours for the closest In-N-Out in my area but it's worth it. Five Guys is much closer. Although I think they're opening one soon here in Albuquerque.
I think we need on in Time Square... granted I hate going down there.
Been a long time since I've been to New York. It get's pretty crowded but watching the ball drop on New Year's is definitely on my bucket list, add eating In-N-Out and I should be good lol
You couldn't pay me enough to go into Time Square for the ball drop. That place is a disaster when New Years rolls around.

I have to say the In-n-Out looks better, having had 5 guys before and not been that impressed, unfortunately I've never come across one of those in England

I too grew up in SoCal, so In n Out is by far my favorite burger joint ever! I moved to Texas and was without my beloved burger shop for 20 years. They finally opened one in the Dallas area which is about a four hour drive from where I live presently.
I made the trip during their opening week. I could not even tell yall how surprised I was when I finally got there. They had cops on the road directing traffic and an entire lane coned off for the drive thru. I kid you not.
Once you finally managed to get into the parking lot they lined the traffic up four lanes wide and promptly took everyone's order. Then they filed each lane into the drive thru. All told, I might have been in line about an hour. It was amazing and totally worth it.
Did you also know, they have a secret menu?
That is crazy about the grand opening in Texas! I would of been at the opening too, if I lived anywhere close! I live in North Idaho, and I actually plan trips around eating at an IN-N-OUT! I hope one day they make it to Idaho or even Washington!

I may be a little older than you. After thinking about it, I would probably request In n Out for my last meal as well. Heck, I drove four hours plus traffic plus wait time, lol!

I think the Animal style looks amazing! I can't quite do the 4 x 4, a double double is the most I can do! Lol! But ANY way you order it, it's AWESOME!

Burger King? Not hardly! In n out burgers are flavorful, moist and delicious! Burger King burgers are dry, crusty and sad. Recently a nearby Burger King got shut down, I applauded when I saw it driving by 👏👏👏
In n out is more on par with a sit down or diner style burger. Even though it's fast food, the quality is so good it doesn't seem like a fast food burger, unlike Burger King...
I would say it's more like an overpriced Wendy's, but same gist.
We don't have Wendy's here either, may have to plan a burger trip to the US to gain some insight

Does Five Guys have secret menus like the In N Outs? I assume In N Out is more delicious. I am from Oregon and went to In N Out and had their burgers and shakes a few times. I have not been to Five Guys but I will bet on In N Out because their food might be fresher and healthier. I also heard people say great things about In N Out being so great. I cannot forget that. I love the food. I am hungry. RESTEEMED. UPVOTED. THANKS.
I agree, for a fast food burger, IN-N-OUT tries to keep their ingredients healthier and fresh. And I will ask next time I'm at Five Guys if they also have a secret menu.
I live in North Idaho, so I have to travel to eat at IN-N-OUT now. (Which I have actually planned trips around eating at one! LOL)

In-N-Out is the clear, easy winner. Taste, service, price. It's about the best service I've ever received anywhere. And EVERY location has the same unreal service. Truly unreal. They have about 40 employees working all the time in every tiny fast-food facility. It's just crazy. My wife, daughter and I will be driving to Texas next week to leave on a cruise, so guess what...?!!!! In-N-Out!!!!!!

I love burgers, but I've never been to the west coast so I've not tried In-N-Out. I will say that I always found Five Guys to be an overpriced Wendy's when it came to flavor. Although, it's been a couple years since my last FG experience, so I may be due for trying them again.
I do think Five Guys is a little pricey too! I hope one day you will be able to try an IN-N-OUT, They have awesome prices, and I think you would think they are WAY better than Wendy's. LOL

The In n Out looks really good! Being in Central Florida don't think there are any near me. I have to go to 5 Guys which is good but I actually liked the Fuddruckers as they were 20 years ago better!

Clearly the in n out burger wins on visuals! The five guys burger looks a little sad and unappetizing. I love in n out and eat there from time to time, however I have never had five guys. They just opened one up in my area though so I've been thinking about going to try it out and see if all the east coast hype is real. Since it is east coast hype, my expectations aren't very high, lol
Yes, for kicks, you should at least go try one. Since we don't have an IN-N-OUT in North Idaho, I sometimes go to Five guys. It is a good burger, but if I had BOTH in the same town, It would always be IN-N-OUT for me!

In-N-Out by a landslide. Having been to Five Guys numerous times because of glowing reviews from friends, I have never not been disappointed. Burgers were always soggy with grease (or just soggy in general), their fries are subpar, and their shakes were okay. I'm not the biggest fan of In-N-Out fries, but they're better than Five Guys, and there isn't even a comparison when it comes to burger quality. I'll take In-N-Out all day, every day over Five Guys.

@lifes-a-donut IN-N-OUT through and through.. Of all the popular burger joints I have gone to, which is definitely more than 5, In-n-out beats them all. Yes none of the others have their veggies as fresh and crisp as this one, the cheese is gooey and the patty is super tasty! Definitely the best burger in the world!!!
