Dragon fruit is another food with a unique look, for sure. And they do kind of resemble these in terms of the scales and spikes on the outside.

Yes. At my first glance, dragon fruit is in my head. Maybe if you have not mentioned it's an artichoke, I would glad think it is a dragon fruit. :-)
