Are you a fan of Chinese cuisine? Ever wanted to go to China or Hongkong just to experience the oriental flavors of their country but without the money and time? Well, after some time of searching for the best Chinese restaurant in Cebu, I finally found a place that for me, has the closest flavor of the authentic Chinese cuisine. This restaurant surprisngly is one of the oldest restaurants here in Cebu (Grand Majestic). I know, don't ask me why it took me so long to finally discover this place.
For the price, you really can't beat it! We only paid at around $6 (300 Pesos) for 3 dishes and 2 drinks (lemonade). I mean, what more can you ask for?😋
The ambience of the place feels and looks very chill and laidback. They even got the lighting down! It's not too bright and not too dark, just the perfect amount of light that makes you feel cozy and warm.😌
Okay, okay so let's start with the dish that I cannot stop myself from devouring, literally! This is called "Pancit Canton". The noodles are thick and dense and is also a bit chewy. The sauce, oohhh God the sauce! It really packs a punch! This has got to be the best Pancit Canton in the entire Philippines. Well, for me atleast! They even have shrimp and squid toppings for added yumminess! Who would pass on that? Not me! Ohhh and if that isn't good enough. This dish comes with fried buns! Think Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts but without the glaze. Glorious combination!😋
This dish is a staple in Chinese cuisine. It is simply called "Sweet and sour pork". If you're a fan of the salty, sweet, sour flavor combination then this is right up your ally! Again, it all comes down to the sauce. It has the perfect flavor combination and the texture is surprisingly creamy! This is one of their "rice meals" and you get a tall glass of refreshing lemonade! Hooraaayy for free drinks🙌🙌
I mean, common! Who can resist their love for deep fried chicken?!?! Again, this place has one of the best chickens I have ever tasted, hands down! It's crunchy on the outside but juicy and tender on the inside. Flavor is really spot on! Better than KFC ssshhhh🙊 They don't serve their chicken with the traditional gravy but they have it with a sweet and sour Chinese dipping sauce that compliments this dish really well.😊
Overall, it's an A plus for me. Food, ambience and price is just perfect! Ohhh and no, I didn't eat all of this by myself (I wish😅). Me and eating buddy (bf) celebrated our Monthsary here. No regrets, just pure satisfaction. So, if you're craving for some authentic Chinese food, don't hesitate to visit this place. You're heart and tummy will be very happy and your wallet too!😊
