in #food7 years ago (edited)

Sometimes you don't need to go out to look for a mouth watering and delicious food, if you knew in yourself that you can make one. This afternoon I decided to post this simple snacks. Go try it at home, always remember the food is more tastier if you share it with friends and family! #foodporn #foodphotography

Since I am a BSed student major in TLE we have this kind of subject the pastry and baking. And this food I am posting is part of our laboratory culmination.

"Chicken in a bread cups"

Ingredients
6 slices whole-wheat bread
1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted
1 ounce shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese (about 1/4 cup)
1/4 cup finely chopped tomato
6 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Chicken strips

How to Make It:

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°.

Step 2
Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin until very thin. Trim crusts off bread. Lightly brush both sides of bread slices with melted butter. Cut each bread slice in half diagonally.

Step 3
With cut sides facing, place 2 bread halves in each of 6 muffin cups, making sure to cover bottom entirely and allowing bread corners to extend above rims. Bake at 375° for 5 minutes or until bread is slightly firm. Remove pan from oven; sprinkle 2 teaspoons shredded cheese into each cup. Top each cup with 2 teaspoons chopped tomato. Crack 1 egg into each cup; sprinkle eggs evenly with salt and pepper. Bake an additional 18 minutes or until whites are set and yolks are still a bit runny or to desired degree of oneness. Remove egg cups from pan; sprinkle evenly with chicken strips

Next snack is "Cinnamon Bread"

INGREDIENTS
3 cups plain/all-purpose flour 375g
1 and 1/4 cups light brown sugar 250g
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 large eggs room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup vegetable oil 180ml
1 and 1/2 cups greek style yoghurt 360g
3 apples peeled and chopped into small cubes

How to prepare"

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan, and set aside.
Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices. Set aside.
Whisk together the eggs, vanilla, vegetable oil, and yoghurt until smooth and combined. Add the dry ingredients, and the apple chunks, and mix until just combined. Do not over-mix. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cover loosely with aluminium foil halfway through baking to prevent the bread from browning too much. Allow to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
