Today I would like to teach you how to make İskender kebap whis is my favorite food in Turkish cuisine.
Ingredients;
700 gr boneless meat (entrecote)
1 grated onion
1 crushed garlic glove
½ cup yogurt
3 tbsp ( paprica -cumin)
½ tsp black pepper
Salt
For the tomato sauce
5 blended tomatoes
1 grated onion
1 garlic glove
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp paprika
½ tsp black pepper
Salt
For topping
1 tomato
1 pepper
Yogurt
3 tbsp butter
Pide ( Bread)
Preparation
Cut the meats into thin slices, after you cut all the meat put them into a bowl and then add spices, crushed garlic, grated onion, olive oil and yogurt. Mix it well and after you done, cover it and put it in the fridge for half an hour. In a casserole add 1 tbsp butter ( you can use pressure cooker) and mix it and then cover it leave the meat to cook for about 45 minutes. In a frying pan add 1 tbsp oil and fry the onion and garlic until softened. Add the tomato juice and half cup of water. After that add spices and salt. Cover and leave it to cook for 20 minutes. In a frying pan add oil and fry the pepper and tomato until softened. Cut bread into a small cubes and then fry the bread pieces in a 1 tbsp butter. Melt butter for topping. In a serving platt lay the bread first and then put the meat on the breat and add the tomato sauce on the meat. Put some yogurt in the corner of the plate. Add also tomato and pepper for decoration. Drizzle with melted butter.
