Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate
- 50g butter
- 100g sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 vanilla powder
- 200g flour (glatko, tip 550)
- teaspoon of baking powder
- salt
- casted sugar ( for rolling )
- spices ( coffee, chili powder, tabasco )
- aspirin ( optional, early saturday morning... )
Here is the process its pretty simple:
1.Melt chocolate and butter ( it would be perfect if you tempered chocolate but not totally necessary ), I usually put half of the chocolate with all butter plus a little bit of salt and coffee( teaspoon of fine grinned coffee, it will boost chocolate taste ) on the steam „boiler“ chocolate and butter on top of boiling water container, be careful not to get steam or anything liquid in the top pot with chocolate because it will completely ruin process and it will harden the chocolate, it can be undone by adding milk or cream but it will dilute it and change the taste. after completely melting chocolate and butter remove it from the stove and add remaining chocolate it will reduce the mixture temperature which should bring back structure back to crystal ( just like tempering ). Put it on the side to chill. B)
2.Mix together eggs and sugar if you want you can add peeled orange or lemon, after that add vanilla powder and mix again
3.Combine cooled chocolate( if temperature is too high it will cook eggs ) and eggs, in this step is best to add spices to taste, I usually prepare 2 batches one which is spicy and one normal. In spicy one usually goes ode teaspoon of chilli powder and one teaspoon of tabasco.
4.Add flour and baking powder and mix with spoon or spatula, let it chill for few hours or overnight.
While its chilling take a brake and eat something sweet :)
5.Preheat oven to 180C, and make little balls out of mixture and roll it in casted sugar and thats it. Bake it for exactly 11 minutes no longer.
