A quick post for you folks...
Sugar-free homemade nutty granola
If I am honest, I don't eat much cereal or granola. This does not mean that I dislike it. The problem is, however, that most store-bought cereal is loaded with sugar.. yes, even your "healthy" bran flakes, wholegrain loops, and that organic granola have sugar, honey or syrup added (check the ingredient list next time you're in the shop!).
So I do try to avoid these on a daily basis.
As I have mentioned in my introduction post, I am just a human being who enjoys her treats sometimes. So once in a while, I bring home a box of cocoa pops or similar and eat a bowl as a treat (literal dessert for me) because nutritionally it is not that much different from eating a chocolate chip cookie.

So if I can't find the right foods in the store for a healthier diet, I make 'em myself.
Here I provide you guys with an easy recipe for sugar-free granola. It is super quick to make and you can change the recipe according to your likes (different nuts, with or without cocoa, etc).
I use the granola mostly as topping for yogurt but it does also work simply with milk.
What you'll need:
1 cup nuts (e.g. almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, sunflower, hemp, pumpkin)
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup unsweetened flaked or 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
1/4 cup coconut oil melted
1 egg
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 150°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In the bowl combine oats, nuts and/or seeds and flaked/desiccated coconut, cocoa powder and salt. Drizzle with coconut oil and stir to combine. Add egg, and toss until mixture begins to clump together. Spread mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Remove and let cool and store in a container.
Now all you have to do is ENJOY it :)

Your sugar-free dessert cereal sounds delicious and I would love this on my yogurt. I actually have all these ingredients on hand, so I'm going to make a batch for myself. I hate that that thief stole my account and make all these trash spam comments, but I'm glad that I found your post by way of going around deleting all those comments!
