Black Glutinous Rice with Durian Creamy Soup

Can you skip Durian during its season? we can't. I mean we just can't. 😄
Last time I said about eating Durian with glutinous rice and today I'll share you that best favorite, food. So Black Glutinous Rice with Durian Creamy Soup, anyone?

So, technically this is a planned dessert when you choose to use the black glutinous rice. Before steaming the glutinour rice we should soak it for a couple hours but with black glutinous rice it takes all night long some a 24 hours.

Black glutinous rice is no black at all but actually is dark color and turns dark purple when it's cooked.

Ingredients:

• Black glutinous rice (soak for 12-24 hours)
• Durian flesh
• Coconut milk
• Sugar
• Salt

Instructions:

1. Drain the rice and steam untill cooked well.
2. Heat the coconut milk by stirring until first simmering time then turn of heat. Keep stirring for a while. (don't cook too long after simmering, the taste will be different as the coconut milk has bursted and become oily)
3. Mix the Durian flesh with sugar and salt.
4. Pour the coconut milk into Durian mix, stir until well combined.
5. Place the glutious rice on a bowl, then pour the durian creamy soup.
6. Serve
