I was always one of those people who hated watermelon. I was always enthralled by the idea of this giant, watery fruit but I could never taste the sweetness that people raved about: until I went to Thailand.
While I was traveling for three weeks between Bali and Thailand, I was introduced to the watermelon shake on Koh Pha Ngan island in the gulf of Thailand. It was so flipping hot and humid there, and water just wasn't cutting it. We needed more to quench our thirst. Cody's dad ordered a watermelon shake. I thought to myself, "He's been here a while so I'm going to trust his ordering." And there it was: the moment where I became a watermelon lover. It took only one sip to have me convinced. The icy, cool, sweet, refreshing taste of watermelon hit my tongue. It was like my body did a 180; I started feeling hydrated, cooled down, ready to roam the island of Koh Pha Ngan!!!!!
Since that day, I dream of watermelon shakes. Costco was having a huge deal on watermelons the other day, and Cody and I couldn't say no to these giant, green fruits that held so much opportunity inside for only $10!
Looking to make one of these shakes?
Feel the freshness take over your body!
It is seriously the simplest thing EVER, but so delicious and something I feel needs to be shared everywhere. And maybe some of you do this already, but if you haven't, I highly recommend!
