Snack Artist is Tom Thumb's brand of potato chips and other kind of chips.
It's supposed to be the cheap option.
To be perfectly honest though they're really not that cheap comparatively speaking.
They are almost the same price as the Lay's brand potato chips but they don't seem to taste quite as good.
Don't get me wrong.
They are crispy and crunchy.
However they suffer from what a lot of potato chips suffer from.
Absolute and complete salt coating.
Sour cream and onion?
More like salt and salt.
A touch of sour cream and onion flavoring after that.
Thanks, I agree.
I find most "cheap" brands are not that much cheaper in price, just in quality.
I like your post. But, I like the French fries as they are and I do not stop to think more if not to enjoy them
I can't stand over-seasoned potato chips. I usually buy regular chips and dip them in french onion dip.

They're really not that cheap
Wow, I love potato chips with dip; but, find buying them on sale, is worth the stock up.
I agree they seem to slowly be creeping up in price; but, I have a limit! Lol…
I assure you, I am on the hunt for learning how to cook these to perfection.
Some people recommend the microwave; but, naaa, that’s not close enough for my taste.
I agree with you on the flavors. I just bought a low-salt bag; and, really found them quite salty. I will have to check the sodium count.
I find that buying a non-flavored chip, pouring them out on a pan and giving them a light sprinkle of favorite spices works as good, if not better than the pre-packaged msg coatings which, thankfully, I am allergic to.
Thanks for your post!
Peace.
