Red Sauce
½ kg minced pork
1 medium onion, diced
1 tbsp. minced Garlic
1 ½ cup carrots, diced
1 ½ cup green bell pepper
2 560g Spaghetti sauce sweet style
1 beef broth cube to taste, if nessary (optional)
White Sauce
5 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
4 cups milk
2 tsp. salt
½ tsp. nutmeg
Other
1 pck. Lasagna Noodles
1 pck. Mozzarella Cheese
1 pck. Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 pck. Parmesan Cheese
Method:
Red Sauce
Saute Garlic and onions. Add minced pork and cook until light brown. Add carrots then green bell pepper. Pour spaghetti sauce and simmer for 1 hr. Stir every 3 mins.
White Sauce
Heat the milk until just about to boil. In another sauce pan, heat butter over medium low heat until melted. Add flour and stir until smooth. Over medium heat, cook mixture for 6 mins. Add hot milk to the butter mixture 1 cup at a time. Cook for 10 mins. Stir constantly. Remoce from heat. Season with salt and nutmeg.
Noodles
Cook lasagna noodles based on instructions on the wrapper.
Layers:
First layer, pour red sauce, place noodles on top. Second layer, pour red sauce, then white sauce then sprinkle cheese. Repeat process to desired thickness. Cover with foil. Bake at 175C for 1 hr. 20 mins. before the time remove foil, cover top with remaining cheese then put it back to the oven.
