Having gone back to the UK many different times in the past 3 years ... I've always been a fan of the simple yet tasty fish and chips.

In the UK, the two most popular fish to get fish is halibut and cod.

In Hawaii, we also have cod, but no halibut. However, we also have a multitude of other delicious fish, particularly ahi and mahimahi and ono are the three types of fish we have commonly in the state.

Mahimahi is my most favorite as it's soft fish meat.

There's a great fish and chip place located in the Lower Puna area of Big Island in Pahoa.
