Throwback To Japanese Buffet (Tao)

in #food7 years ago (edited)

I've been taking pics of food for many years but I've not shared most of them on social media. Mostly on Instagram I guess.

Today's post is a throwback to some of the food I ate during a buffet at a Japanese restaurant in KL. I was there with my ex-coursemates from uni. It's called Tao and I'm sure the Malaysian readers would know where it is. Sunway Giza if I remember correctly.

I think the price was about MYR 50 (USD 10+) and this was like 1 or 2 years ago.

Overall, it wasn't fantastic but there were some standout dishes.

We ordered this quite a number of times. It was pretty addictive and they had egg mayo inside of it. Loved the crispiness.

Regular sashimi. :)

Baby octopus.

Grilled squid.

More fried stuff lol.

Because I'm not a big fan of soupy stuff..

Cheese baked oysters. Omnomnom..

Their okonomiyaki if I remember correctly.

Fried katsu.

Vege and meat all combined.

Grilled salmon with teriyaki(?) sauce.

Okay maybe we ate a lot.

Tempura!

Some sushi wrapped with eggs.

Woots. That's all for today. Apologies for the poor image quality.

If I've made you hungry, I've done my part. :)

As usual I appreciate all upvotes, resteems and follows.
