Explorateur Boston, Ma | Review

Today I had the chance to visit the new restaurant/cafe/bar Explorateur.

Owned by Ed Kane....the man who owns well known restaurants and clubs in Massachusetts. Empire, Red Latern, Shrine, and Gem are filled with attractive waitresses/bartenders in corsets (not kidding) even the men wear corsets...(kidding)

Apart from the great food, the atmosphere of each restaurant is contrast to one another.

Let's go back to Explorateur...

I was joined with a friend and this time all waitresses/bartenders wore a white button up shirt with black pants (shame)

I ordered the French Onion Soup to start.

Tasty soup with perfect consistency....not too watered down, the bread melted in your mouth...it was like any other well-made French onion soup.

Then came for the difficult decision...the main entree...the Counter Burger

I almost cried when it came out...it was size of my fist (mind you my hands are small)...no fries...but the burger itself was delicious the cheddar cheese covered the burger on all sides and makes you order a second one....(yup.)

Jason ordered the Bacon Avacado Lettuce Tomato sandwich with an egg on top by choice.

There was an odd lemon aioli taste to the sandwich that really overpowered the rest of the ingredients, yet we still enjoyed the sandwich along with the side salad. :-)

For desert we ordered the Pommes Monray

The fries were good yet I hate to say this, however I could've bought stop and shop fries and put mozzarella cheese on top of them and microwave them for 30 seconds and make the same thing.

As a conclusion their wide selection of food, baked goods, coffee, and the gorgeous interior of the restaurant itself is well worth the visit.:-)
