Am just going to drop a quick one on an important use of potato...
Ever cooked a meal that turned out to be too spicy or salty?
Most times we'd either discard or find a way to eat it like that...
Well, good news.... Some never knew this but the next time you have such a fix, just find some Irish potatoes, peal and put inside the pot of soup or stew and let it boil for 10 to 15 minutes.
The potato sucks all the excessive salt leaving small or no trace of it at all....
You can give it a try and let me know how it worked for you.
