It’s only been a few days since the last smoothie I shared with you all, but this one has some pretty wacky ingredients so I had to.
In fact. it has kiwi, lime, wasabi, AND ginger! I’ve wanted to make this one since I saw someone put wasabi in a smoothie on a buzzfeed video and it got a thumbs up. I do that a lot, get an idea stuck and just keep thinking about it until I’ve done it. Although, I try to save smoothie recipes for when I am slammed because they are hands down the easiest recipes to write. All you do is put everything in the blender, press blend, pour into glass, drink it all, and done.
It’s a quickie for me and for you, so basically it’s an all around win win and that always makes me happy. I’m all about easy stuff right now and that’s where this green smoothie comes in to save my life.
Yes, that is why I love them and I love this one even more because it has a great little kick to it that I think somehow makes the fruity flavors stand out more. Something else I love is the heat balance here. I’ve never been a big fan of overly spicy foods. If it’s too hot to even taste what your eating what’s the point, you know? However this smoothie has just the right amount of heat in my opinion both nose burn from the wasabi and a tongue burn from the ginger.
I started out with a measured amount of honey and wasabi and added more to taste because the end result will depend on how ripe your fruit is and how fresh your wasabi. I ended up adding a lot of wasabi to mine before it was hot enough to taste it that much but you can add as much or as little as you want. I also used honey but if you are a vegan than use agave or another sweetener that you like.
I hope you try it!

I am totally with you on overly spicy food. My girlfriend has really hot spicy curries and I settle with a balti. Hers makes my eyes water, I'd rather my taste buds sing. A little spicy is nice and this recipe sounds interesting. You may have just convinced me to give it a go!
Great pics 👍
Oh, wow. I'm so glad you're interested @gmuxx and I really hope you enjoy it!
Nice new one to try!
@team101 Thanks!
why did you put ginger in a smoothie
I totally understand how weird that might sound but it's actually quite delicious if you like ginger. Not to mention, fresh ginger has countless health benefits. Thanks @jacktime34!
i might try it
Pretty interesting smoothie as it has wasabi and ginger on it, but it should be worth a try. Thanks for sharing
I agree, it's very unusual but I think you'd be surprised by it. Thanks, @arnel!

Thanks
Great and interesting ingredient combination, looks like a must try. If anybody is weary of the wasabi, don't be, the ginger is a natural stomach sedative and will counter act any irritation the wasabi may cause those with sensitive stomachs - Chef Mickey
Fantastic tip with the ginger. Thanks so much @chefmickey
I followed and upvote you. Can you please do this same for me. Thanks, Lov U.
Sure, I am now following you @whiteblood.
STEEM ON!

Keeping high standards @gringalicious, and coming just in time with a refreshing smoothie on a hot day 😊
Thanks @photo-trail. Glad I could be there for a hot day
I actually came over to see if you also had photos for the challenge, but finding this, Oh my God, I'm in love! I am a huge fan of Wasabi (I love that nose burn) and ginger, and, well smoothies! Definitely getting bookmarked.
Also, excellent pictures, I think you would make non-wasabi enthusiasts want to try this with those ;)
My Mom is a nose burn addict, I think we may have to seek help for her at some point. As a result, I understand. Fantastic comment @dreemit, thanks so much
Oh that's hilarious, I am also a nose burn addict. The funniest part is my daughter thinks I'm nuts because I tend to put a tad too much of the stuff on something and make sounds of pain while my eyes tear up. She's always like "I don't understand how you like it when it looks like you're being tortured" haha!!
I'm beginning to think your mom and I must have a lot in common, since this is the second time I've reminded you of her! :)
Fantastic comments come easy when they're about fantastic posts ;)
My Mom does the same thing and we all, all seven of us, ask her "You know this is going to happen, right?!" And all she does in reply is laugh semi uncontrollably. We all know she's mental
Seven! No wonder she's mental, hee hee! But...that sounds pretty much the same, minus five ;) Unless you're including your dad in that, in which case minus four.
Seven kids. I am the second oldest.
Look yummy and beautiful photos, as always! I especially like the kiwi and lime as the ingredients. Didn't know about wasabi in smoothie before! Good recipe!
If you want, you can always leave the wasabi out, or give it a try with. Thanks so much for commenting @tangmo
You're welcome! I'll try! Thanks a lot! ;)
I think it looks delicious. Does the wasabi make it spicy?
yes, it's definitely spicy for sure
Even though I don't really like kiwi, I'm intrigued to try this smoothie! (I'm not into super spicy food either, but still!) Great pictures - I love green :) Followed to keep track on more recipes like that! Thank you for brighten up Steemit ;)
I can understand the spicy for sure, but you should give kiwi another chance, just in my humble opinion. Thanks for the follow, followed you back @meanmommy33
Normaly i don't like kiwis but this is a exeption
Oh, I think this might make you a believer. Thanks so much for commenting @boelie
