I think I found a new favorite recipe for you to add to your list. At least, I’m adding it to mine. Enter, Dan Dan Noodles.
I had a friend tell me that I should try to make a copycat version of the popular Dan Dan noodles at Pei Wei restaurant and I’ll have to thank him because everyone loved them. What I loved about this recipe was that it came together in right around 30 minutes. Yep, simple, quick, and easy, that was the best part.
Speaking of inspiration, I’ve been meaning to tell you that if you guys ever have an idea for something I should make, I’m all ears. I’m always looking for new inspiration and ideas, whether it’s quick and easy stuff like this or crazy and over-the-top ones. I can’t guarantee I’ll be able to make it, but I can definitely try. So pretty please with sugar on top don’t feel shy to share your epiphanies and light bulb moments with me. If you come up with something that I need to try you can tell me your ideas in the comments.
So, not that any of you would know this, but there aren’t many P.F. Chang’s and Pei Weis around here. That’s why I’ve never actually tried the original version of these noodles so I can’t really vouch for their authenticity, but I can vouch for their deliciousness! At first, I thought the cucumbers would be kind of weird but then I made it and I was surprised at how well they worked in this. These noodles are definitely something that needs to happen again soon.
Confession: I totally cheated when I was testing this recipe and did it on ramen noodles since I was feeling too lazy to boil a whole pot of water at present moment. And, okay fine, it was really good but don’t tell anyone. It cuts the time down to about 20 minutes if you do it that way, so yay for quick meals! Also, I tried it with ground turkey too and that was really good. I bet you could sub beef or pork as well. You just have to try them!
As always, the recipe is available upon request. The first request gets an upvote.

Hello, write a recipe?
Do you celebrate New Year in a family environment? Do not be surprised) I saw you in a dream today, and it would be the New Year)
And I really like the idea of adding recipes in the comments. This makes your posts even more beautiful and interesting.
By the way, I adore spaghetti ;)
My Dad is a spaghetti fanatic, especially Italian style. We don't make a big deal about New Years in our house. Of course we get together if possible, but we have no traditions. Christmas is the bigger holiday in our house, without question. I'm glad you like the recipe in the comments. The main reason I do is to engage the audience. The first request always gets an upvote. Thanks so much for commenting @tanata

Thanks a lot for sharing, great job as always,
So now I know what I'm having for supper this evening. :) Although it will have to be with chopped chicken as I don't have any ground pork.
chicken works, in fact it may even be better. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting @unclehermit
It certainly doesn't look like an authentic recipe to me, but even in China the recipe can vary a fair bit from restaurant to restaurant.
you're absolutely correct, it is far from authentic. After all, I am born and raised in the United States and lived 4 years in Chile, very little Asian influence there. But, as you say, it varies a tad in a country of 1 billion plus people. Thanks for commenting @strayenglishman
OMG! Delicious @gringalicious

I love how the noodles are so casually scattered in the bowl!! Looks very yummy!
"Casually scattered," I like that, a lot. That's describes me - LOL. Thanks so much for the very nice comment @margaretmendel. Welcome to steemit by the way
hahahhaha wow.....
Somehow you even make that "dirty look" nice.
I mean you must be doing it on purpose? The noodles falling out and the seeds on the table.....Its like the bed head hair dues that look so sexy ;-)>
You saw what I was going for, I love that. Not necessarily sexy bed head, but somewhere close. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a great comment @quinneaker
Observation is one of my specialties. I like to pair that with powers of deduction ;-)>

Okay.. I like your writing style and your foods too.
Sometimes if you want to ditch meat and want to try out something equally delicious and super healthy try the famous Indian Khichuri or khichudi. It is cooked with a combination of lentils , rice and sometime veggies. It is comfort food and cooked in most Indian houses. Try this out on a cold or rainy day for lunch or dinner. For the recipe click the link below.
