Normally it is called "spentzofai" and it is a local specialty in Pelion and Chania.

Κανονικά λέγεται «σπεντζοφάι» και είναι τοπική σπεσιαλιτέ στο Πήλιο και τα Χανιά.

The word "spenzofai" comes from the combination of the Italian word spezz(atino) for the bean with the word eat.

Η λέξη "σπετζοφάι" προέρχεται από τη συνένωση της ιταλικής λέξης spezz(atino) για το κοκκινιστό με τη λέξη φαΐ.
