Food is a vital aspect of life for every creature on Earth.
In the Garden of Eden, we honor food as a giver of life force. Through the magic of digestion, what you eat becomes the very substance of your being. Food holds very real power in its ability to nourish your body and soul, and our lives are intimately connected to nurturing food and receiving its blessings.
We grow enough food in our football field-sized garden and numerous raised beds to provide for our needs. By supplementing through wildcrafted plants, donation or trade, we have enough food resources to provide 40,000 free meals a year. We feed our community more than we can eat, generously and frequently share with anyone who is hungry, and preserve the excess in our Über Dank Pantry.
You could say our food cycle begins where the last meal ends, because we use composting toilets to collect our waste to build the soil that becomes our crops. In this way, even our body’s physical waste serves the greater purpose. We are masters of turning shit to gold, and we have the dankest soil around!
The fertilizer created by alchemizing food in our bodies becomes the sustenance for the plants in our garden. We appreciate the symbiotic relationship that exists between man and nature because we are intimately connected in this cycle of life.
As our garden grows, we enjoy the seasons’ bounties, and every Eden Knight has their favorite. As of right now, we’ve just passed the first harvest from our young fig trees--our most prolific yet!--and our controversial okra* plants are just hitting their stride.
Cooking is a meditative practice for our Eden Knights, and they pour their love into each meal.
Year-round, we cook outdoors over wood-burning rocket stoves, grill, and cob oven--all of which we built by hand from bricks and dirt.
We dismantle and burn fence panels that were otherwise destined for the landfill as fuel.
This is one of the many ways we are able to achieve a negative zero carbon footprint, because we are alchemizing "trash" to FUEL. And it doesn't stop there--our fires create ash, which then becomes soap or fertilizer, adding MORE value to our sustainable system!
We generate an overabundance of most things, and food is no exception. We know that there’s more than enough of everything, so it is our duty and honor and privilege to share. We cook not only enough for ourselves, but enough to also feed the fireman, single mothers and their children, homeless people, local businesses, and anyone else in need. We’re so good at this that WE FEED 40,000 FREE MEALS A YEAR!!
And these 40,000 FREE meals are not peanut butter sandwiches and hot dogs. We create hundreds--if not thousands--of unique dishes each year, without using cookbooks or formulas. We have culinary masters joyfully sharing their world-influenced expertise, and they whip up remarkable delicacies utilizing the choicest ingredients to create enticing and original flavor combinations that we get far more satisfaction out of than bland, boring, petroleum-dependent, restaurants with commonplace dishes.
We don’t buy anything at stores, including food. That means that every single delicious, nutritious mouthgasmic experience from our super sustainable outdoor kitchen bypasses all taxation, regulation, packaging, petroleum-dependent distribution, and corporate slavery that most Americans support without even thinking. This is FREE, super high vibe cuisine, and we do it every single day.
We'll leave you with a little food porn here. We hope you get off on viewing our mouthgasmic cuisine while scrolling through this gallery! OH!
*As we have already shared with the Steemit community, the government raided our property in 2013. Part of their justifications for doing so was based in that after spending thousands of dollars on aerial surveillance, their “marijuana experts” erroneously concluded that our okra and tomato plants were marijuana.
I can attest to the uber dankness of the food at the @gardenofeden! It is TRULY mouthgasmic - the quality surpasses just about every restaurant I've ever visited... Even the $30-a-plate type restaurants (which is saying ALOT, because they provide it without charging anyone a single cent)!
...But for me, that isn't the best part. I truly have hated myself for feeling like I had to support the grocery store chains and Monsanto-Mega-Farms that say: "This is the cost of business - either buy from us or go hungry!" ...The Garden of Eden stands as a testament to what is not only possible, but what is righteous and honorable. The fact that it is some of the best food I've ever eaten is simply... potatoes. ;-)
Well said, well said~
As you've experienced, food freedom eludes many, and sometimes it doesn't feel like a choice. Once people are aware of our example, they have to acknowledge that there ARE options. It is a choice to participate in that dishonorable system, and dishonor doesn't feel good to us.
Totally awesome what you are doing...blessings of of light to you..words fail me.
Thank you, we think it's pretty awesome too! Blessings~*~
We need more people like you..i cant send you enough thanks :)
Totally agree!
Hopefully we can inspire people to re think, to consider new possibility, experiment and begin to take action!
The more you comment, UPvote, share etc the more people we reach and inspire!
One of my favorite parts of life at the Garden of Eden is sharing the epic feasts! It's incredible to see how easily @quinneaker generates abundance, and how generously he shares with EVERYONE--I have never seen him turn anyone away hungry. It's inspiring and uplifting to be part of this change!
Thank you for the Recognition and daily support!
We are the power~*~
YES!! Food is more delicious when it's shared!
The flowers on your deviled eggs! Such an artfully appetizing touch.
Aren't those beautiful?! We enjoy beginning the feast with our eyes.
So much art in this. The presentation on the plates, the cob oven, God's touch in the vegetables...
We love beauty!
Looks absolutely delicious Quinn! UPVOTED!!
Thanks!
Your Upvotes, Comments and sharing helps us reach more people!

Thank you!!
I am doing a lemonade master cleanse for 3days then i will eat your delicious photos of food!
The master cleanse is awesome!
The one down side is you don't get to eat, yet the much more valuable downside is you get WAY healthier!
Keep it up!
Haha, we'll have a fresh dank feast of photos by then!
Being a part of this Uber Dankness, mouthgasmic, high-vibe cuisine is an honor. Watching people's faces when they get a mouthful of this incredible food is priceless!! One woman who came to an event at the Garden of Eden approached me in tears saying "If this is food, I don't know what I've been eating all of my life!" A true testament to the extraordinary flavor and freshness of the food here. This is a great post sharing what is possible, WITHOUT supporting the industrial military complex, while sharing tens of thousands of meals every year with a below zero carbon footprint. Where do you ever hear that? How amazing it would be if those reading this on Steemit could be inspired by such a reality and take action. I love what is shared here.
Yes!! Not only do we feed thousands of people the best food they've ever had FOR FREE, we do it in support of the new paradigm rather than the military industrial complex of death and destruction! Super mega giga ultra WINNING!!
Blessings!!! The best summer of my life was spent setting up in parks around Cali and feeding all who joined us. We never lacked for food. people would bring us their groceries and eat with us. We had the time of our lives. Food lovingly prepared and shared freely transforms even the most meager of provisions. You and your community lovingly grow your own food and then share with others thus amplifying this effect by many factors. It was my experience that people were more hungry for the connection with others through food than the food itself. i know that this was a very powerful and transformative force and was I was blessed more in the doing than the receiving. I can only imagine the power of the experience having been involved from seed to table. Blessings to continued success with your work/play. I never worked a day that summer.
Thank you! We too find that people are "hungry for the connection", especially amongst marginalized members of society that few pay attention to: https://steemit.com/homelessness/@gardenofeden/sustainable-community-illegally-feeds-the-homeless
YEAH! Mouthgasms galore.
UPVOTED! Very interesting to see what you are doing. Mankind in general is certainly doing the opposite. You might like my post about the waste of having lawns. It lays down the facts!

Thanks!
Yes I am constantly talking about how silly and unsustainable it is to have lawns and how much more value people could be getting out of gardens with little more maintenance and maybe even less cost!
Awesome job you are doing growing food! I bet the folks in the ecovillage where I live could learn a lot from you! You can check out our site if you are interested at www.dancingrabbit.org.
Thank you! We trade, receive donations, and forage in addition to growing our own food. We're glad to have you guys on Steemit! It looks like we'll have lots of valuable info to share with each other!

You thought about accepting Steem through your site? There is a new Steem payment button that just came out that's at the top of the trending list right now.
Nice job with your site by the way. Good pop up. I'm a professional online marketer as well (http://www.integrationprofits.com). You've got a better site than most from a sales standpoint!
We use our outdoor kitchen to prepare epic feasts year round. All of our cooking is done over fire! Here's a link to our How To Build A Rocket Stove tutorial: https://steemit.com/food/@gardenofeden/how-to-build-a-rocket-stove-part-1#comments
