Hi food fans.
It's been a while since my last cooking post, so today is a good day to get back into it.
I always start by making a red sauce. Grinding tomatoes, and cooking it down. But this fall we had lots of garden tomatoes, so I made a big batch and canned some pasta sauce.
So instead I started by browning some lean ground beef. With garlic and oregano.
Then started to build layers. From rat some sauce on the bottom, then a layer of noodles and the ground beef.
Added a bit of sauce to the beef, then another layer of noodles topped with spinach and goat cheese. And a bit more sauce. Another layer of noodles and sauce and fresh basil.
Finally topped with cheddar and mozzarella, and baked for 1/2 hour at 350*F.
Delicious!
Bon appetit

My Grandma Gerow made the best lasagna I ever had. I regret not asking her for the recipe before she passed in 2008!
Oooo goat cheese. I have never been a huge lasagna fan because of the cottage cheese or ricotta cheese people usually use. But goat cheese! This could be a game changer. 😍
The goat cheese is the business!
