Cold Season

in #food7 years ago

Greetings steemians! @eyeofthemind here once again with a little immune system booster.

If this is your first time here and you want to see how to make this, check out my blog and look for the 'Ginger Extract' recipe.

If you liked the ginger extract, try adding a little orange peel to the blend and boil for a little boost of Vitamin C. If you live in a temperate climate like me, then the weather is changing and it may be 'cold season'. Whether you're already under the weather or want to stay ahead of it and give your system a boost, this is a great drink to make. Similar to the 'Ginger Extract' recipe, there is one addition. Vitamin C! IMG_7952.JPGIMG_7955.JPG

You have a sore throat? Add it to some hot water with a little honey.

Thanks for the tips and will check out the other post. Do you know about how long this will keep? Do you store in the fridge?

Yes, store it in the fridge after it cools. I usually go through it in a week. Keeps for that long at least. That's a good idea though. I'll fight my urge to drink some to see how long it keeps.

Thank you!!

Good advice and I read somewhere thatGelatin is also good for the throat :)

You have so much information for being healthy! I love it :)

Thanks @eyeofthemind for sharing this information. There are another ways also, like you can drink lemon tea. It simple to make at home. It is very effective and another way is you can eat 2 piece of blackpepper but you dont have to swallow that , just crush that with you teeth and keep it inside your mouth only for 30 minutes. It is also very effective. But it hurts little bit of your throat. try this twice a day. Thanks. :)

Wow, I didn't know that about the black pepper! I'm going to look into that and give it a shot. Thanks for sharing.
