Looks amazing! I suck at cooking...the other day I attempted an avocado chocolate mousse, but it still tasted too much like avocado. I probably didn't put enough sweetener in it. That cake of yours deserves to be in a magazine =)

Hey @evecab! You know, I used to be the worst at cooking too. Well, not the worst but I just couldn't be bothered about it and wanted to eat like a slice of toast or cereal. Anything easy haha times have obviously changed ;)
So for this, I bet you it will depend on the type of avo used. Mine was yellow inside and very creamy. I have no idea the name of it since I got it at the local market but it's different than the typical hass.
It didn't taste like avo at all when it was done. The allspice cut it in the icing but the batter for the cake was pretty rich because my cacao here is raw so it's quite intense haha sooo the extra sweet on top gave it that extra sweetness to really send it over the top!
Give it another go, there's no harm in adding more maple or sweetener if needed =D
I think that with this it really would depend on your ingredients. Don't be hard on yourself though because I know first hand that it's a slippery slope using avos. This one just worked out super!
I will definitely try again =) It wasnn't bad, it just still have a slight avocado aftertaste, which was a bit weird. My cacao is pure too, and I will just increase the dose this time =)
Thanks for posting and for the encouragement!
