The paradox of diets

in #food5 years ago

Health is important and I like cooking and eating.

Apparently these two things do not go hand in hand. While the web is full of so many food photos and recipes to have coined the word #foodporn, on the other hand it is rich in diets of various types.

The beauty of these diets is that after an article with millions of tips, they always end up with "ask your doctor for advice".

1- If I ask the doctor for advice I don't go to him or her with a diet seen on the internet.

2 - If the diet requires cutting pasta and bread, or all the desserts, or alcohol, I don't think there is a need for the doctor. In fact we don't ask the doctor: excuse me, can I drink liters of wine, eat chocolate from morning to night and have lunch at Mac Donald's 3 times a week?

We eat everything we want, but as soon as we talk about the diet: "Warning, it's DANGEROUS, you have to ask for medical advice"

Do we really think that if we go for replacing chocolate with salad or fruit we will have health problems?
