More than 20 million turkeys are consumed on Christmas every year in the United States.
In places like the US, Canada, and the UK, you will find plenty of homes that are featuring a turkey as a centerpiece on the table that night.
Christmas dinners vary widely from one country to the next. In Switzerland for example, you might find the family gathering around a hot pot for dinner on Christmas, plenty of rice and salad in Botswana, pork roast in Denmark, roast goose in Germany, or beetroot soup as the main dish in Poland.
Turkey is still widely preferred on Christmas by millions, though there are other some alternatives that have been growing in popularity in recent years as more people have preferred something aside from the typical Turkey dinner.
These alternatives might be dishes such as glazed ham or roast chicken, even a roast. Vegetarian turkey options, Tofurkey, have also been growing in popularity.
According to one recent study that was conducted by the CAD (Certified Angus Beef) brand, it's suggested that many Americans might be looking to make a change from turkey.
It's estimated that as much as 40 percent or more of the respondents had indicated that they are looking to try something new.
At least 4 out of 10 people said they would enjoy a roast on Christmas for dinner instead of a turkey, however many don't feel that they know how to cook one.
The app is designed to help you cook a roast from start to finish, giving users a step-by-step assistance process so that they can feel able enough to try and cook their own roast for the holidays.
The app will help users to select which meat cut they might need, it provides recipes and cooking tips, also gives users a roasting timer to help them know when it's perfectly cooked.
There is plenty of information already available out there for individuals to try and teach themselves how to cook a roast, such as various Youtube videos and cooking blogs etc, but this new app provides an alternative and convenient solution for those who still might need a little help in the kitchen.

Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding at our Xmas dinner!!
We used to like getting a big filet, but it's not as tasty as Roast beef which has a bit more fat for flavor.
I have the butcher prepare me Top Cut, de-boned and rolled. Yum yum yummy!
Pair it with Yorkshire pudding (in a casserole, not as individual popovers) More Yum!
