Review: #0001 Potato casserole with canned cheese sauce

in #food7 years ago

Do you know the feeling, you're in the supermarket and try to find something too eat for this evening but the choice is just too big? You don't know what to buy? Somehow you have the feeling you've already eaten everything? Yah, I've got this problem every weekend.

So I decided to be spontaneous and try something new. I saw this cheese cream sauce for a potato casseroleIMG_20170716_182544.jpg

So why not try it. What do we need?

The label says 600g of thinly sliced potatoes.

Then I thought how boring that would be so I decided to pump up the calories with some meat. Im my case a big slice of sausage diced into small pieces.IMG_20170717_165106.jpgIMG_20170717_165248.jpg

Sprinkle that tasty meat on the potatos and make sure its evenly spread.

Next part was easy cover everything with that fatty cheese cream sauce. IMG_20170716_182544.jpg

Now into the oven for 35 min at 200°C

Result was certainly not bad.

The taste wasn't bad either. Thick and creamy, could've been a little saltier. I divided the casserole into 2 parts so I would have some for the next day. The funny thing is that the second part was even better coz the potatoes soaked up all the goodness over night. I guess this sauce can be also used for mac 'n cheese if u are too lazy to make your own sauce.
