Smoothies are a great way to give your body some love, especially if you're run down or struggling to eat big meals.
Pretty much anything goes in smoothie making. If you can blend it and you like it throw it in!
This mornings yummy fruity green smoothie....
I used up some leftovers.
Frozen mixed berries (strawberries/blueberries), a few remaining blackberries from the garden, bannana, ground ginger,almond milk. I added some frozen kale and a spoonful of Spirulina for the green bit. You could replace the milk for apple juice or similar if you prefer and add a little lemon for added zing!
Frozen fruit is really handy to have in. Or buy fresh, cut into portions and freeze so you always have some at the ready.
I've had a lot of health problems this year on top of existing Fibromyalgia so can do with all the fruity goodness I can get. And if you're restricted with certain foods/sweet treats it's a good way to get a natural sugar boost and see those pesky cravings off.
