in #food6 years ago

There is hardly a dessert so easy and delicious to make as a chocolate marquise!

Venezuelans grew up eating it and that's why I want to share your delicious recipe with all of you

To prepare it you will need:

  • 40 Mary Cookies
  • 2 cups of milk

For the chocolate pudding:

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 300 grams of dark chocolate in pieces
  • 2 butter spoons
  • 125 grams of sugar
  • Vanilla to taste
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch (cornstarch flour)

Once the ingredients are assembled, the procedure is as follows

  • In a heavy bottom pot place the milk, sugar and vanilla, when it is warm add the previously beaten egg yolks, stir constantly.

  • On the other hand, in a water bath, melt the chocolate with the butter, when it is melted, pour into the milk and continue stirring, dissolve the cornstarch in a little milk and add to the previous preparation, continue stirring until it thickens, get off the fire and reserve.

-To make the base of the chocolate marchioness, soak the cookies in milk and place them superimposed on the bottom of a glass mold, making a layer on which to pour the pudding.

Do not forget to cover the sides of the mold too!

Store in the refrigerator until firm.

It can decorate with rain or chocolate sparks, there are also those who alternate sliced almonds and toast or chocolate chips.

If you want to give it a different touch, you can add a splash of liquor to the milk in which you wet the cookies; we suggest you amaretto, coffee liqueur or franglic.

Enjoy it!
