Food and Health Awareness | Fennel with its Associated Health Benefits

in #food7 years ago

Hey folks @cryptokraze here with my new Blog about Food and Health awareness in which I will highlight the health benefits associated with Fennel. We should add variety of foods in our diet because they have bio-active components in them that help in preventing many diseases and provide other health benefits.

Unique Health Benefits of Fennel

Here are some of the health benefits associated with fennel:

Bone Health

Due to the calcium content, fennel can help maintain the health and strength of the bones. Fennel contains about 115 mg of calcium or about 10% of RDA, which can help increase dietary calcium levels, especially for those who do not consume enough other sources.

Prevents Anemia

Histidine and Iron are amino acids found in fennel and can be used to treat anemia. Though iron is the main element of histidine, hemoglobin arouses the making of hemoglobin and also adds to the formation of several other blood constituents.

Removes Flatulence

Due to the incineration properties of aspartic acid found there, fennel is very popular as an antibacterial agent. Everyone can use these extracts from infants to the elderly to reduce excess abdominal gas and bloating. It is commonly used in medicine to reduce the symptoms of flatulence and non-ulcer dyspnea in children’s and infants.

Treats Colic

Heavy molecules and Polymers can be used to treat renal colic. This polymer, also known as phytoestrogens, is found in anethole, an integral part of fennel oil. This makes it very useful in the treatment of renal colic. Anise has a certain amount of anti-fat quality, it also helps to reduce the discomfort and to relax smooth muscle associated with this condition.

Boosts Immunity

A glass of its bulbs puts approximately 20% of the daily requirement of vitamin C, which makes it a very fabulous source of useful ingredients in our diet. Vitamin C protects against the overall effects of immune system, help form collagen, skin tissue correction and the destructive effect of production and free radicals, which is often for heart disease.

nice and valuable information .....thank you bro , you really care of our health

Juicing fennel is great as well🙂 but you need some carrots or something sweet to mask the flavor as fennel is very strong!

Good stuff :)

I had the privilege of associating with some crazy foodies. They list the food groups:
(A) alcohol (red wine, beer)
(B) beverages- water, tea, coffee, etc
(C)chocolate dark,
(D)dairy,
(F)fish, fruit, fungi
(G)grains
(L)legumes like chic peas or green beans
(M)meat red
(N)nuts
(S)seeds, seaweed, seafood
(T)tubers such as potatoes and yams
And this is pretty much it. There are 14-15 food groupings. I may have missed one.

I have always wanted to eat, fennel, but I have never dared to buy to prepare, but I will have to try, seeing this information so valuable that you just presented us, I had no idea of its nutritious and curative content, very good this one, thanks for presenting it, greetings
