Yes You Can Make Pizza in a Slow Cooker

I love to cook and to try different recipes. My slow cooker is a favorite appliance of mine.

Did you know you can make pizza in your slow cooker?

So simple.

The ingredients you will need are:

1 tube of pizza dough
a jar of pizza sauce
8 oz of shredded mozzarella
pepperoni slices
Any other toppings that you like

I sprayed the bottom of my slow cooker with olive oil spray.

Create a sling with 2 pieces of parchment paper - so that it looks like a "+" sign. This is how you will take your pizza out of the slow cooker when it is finished. Make sure that the parchment paper does come up the side of the slow cooker so that you can easily grab it.

Place the pizza dough in the slow cooker on top of the parchment paper. Manipulate the dough so that the crust will have a bit of height to hold in the sauce.

Pour some sauce on the pizza dough and spread evenly with a spoon. You can use as much sauce as you like but just make sure it doesn't go over the side of the crust.

Top the sauce with a few good handfuls of mozzarella cheese.

Lastly, arrange pepperoni slices all over the top of the pizza.

Your pizza is now ready to cook!!!

Please the lid on your slow cooker.

Set temperature to HIGH.

Set time to 1 HOUR and a HALF.

When time is up, grab 2 pieces of parchment in each hand and place the pizza on to a tray to allow for a bit of cooling and easy slicing.

Let me just say that the bottom browns nicely but is not hard. The pizza is nice and soft and quite delicious.

We loved this pizza and will definitely be making it again.
