At my work we have spectacular gardens and a great bar area for hosting parties. As head chef and functions coordinator im fortunate enough to be able to organize parties and cater for them also. My favorites are cocktail parties for groups between 30 - 80.
The venue is a very rustic style garden so i like to use alot of wooden style serving equipment to match the scenery.
My food range has gluten free options, vegetarian and vegan. These days you have to be flexible with food options to cater for many different intolerance and diet options.
Many favorites above such as pulled pork sliders, smoked salmon on potato and leek rosti, chilli meat balls and vegetarian arancini balls which is like cooking a risotto but making it a bit more stiff and then letting it cool, rolling and crumbing the balls.
One very popular option which always go down well are my vegan sweet potato puffs which contain the obvious sweet potato cooked and mashed up then with tahini paste, cannelloni beans, garlic and flour to blend the mix, then dipped in panko crumbs and fried as seen above.
Only thing to do now is enjoy the food and the stunning surroundings in the Perth hills.
