My Favorite Pie Face "Key-Lime Cannabis" Recipe

Sunday afternoons are for making love and making pies.. Interpret that how you like.. After a morning of bliss in bed, a strong coffee, Yoga, relaxing walk with the dog, i headed to my sanctuary, aka my kitchen, to bake one of my all time favorite recipes. Cannabis KEY LIME Pie..

Get Started with the following.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix your graham cracker crumbs, cannabutter, salt, and sugar into a large bowl. Then, transfer that to a 9-inch pie dish and pat it down until it molds to the pie dish.

Ingredients for graham cracker crust:

2 cups graham cracker crumbs

¼ cup sugar

¼ teaspoon salt

½ cup melted cannabutter - see below for recipe

Ingredients for key lime custard:

3 cups sweetened condensed milk

½ cup sour cream

1 cup key lime juice

2 tablespoons lime zest

¼ cup CBD oil-infused coconut oil

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix your graham cracker crumbs, cannabutter, salt, and sugar into a large bowl. Then, transfer that to a 9-inch pie dish and pat it down until it molds to the pie dish.

Bake the crust for 10 minutes, or until it starts to lightly brown on the sides.

While crust is baking, whisk all the other ingredients in a bowl until it thickens. Then, take the crust out once it is done and evenly pour the thickened mixture into the hot crust.

Place back into the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes. Make sure to look for tiny bubbles rising to the top, and do not let the top brown.

If those pinhole bubbles start to pop, take it out.

Let the pie cool to room temperature once removed from the oven, and then refrigerate it overnight.

Yields 16 servings.

CannaButter Recipe

Ingredients:

● One ounce of cannabis - YES! - ONE Oz.

● ½ pound of butter (2 sticks)

Instructions:

● Heat the butter and cannabis together in a stainless steel pan over medium heat. While heating up, fill the pan halfway with water and allow it to slowly simmer for 30 minutes.

● Once that time is up, strain the liquid through a strainer to remove the solid chunks of the cannabis plant, then press it down to remove all the liquid. Then, take that liquid you just strained and strain it through a cheesecloth to remove the rest of the solid plant material.

● Put that double-strained liquid in a container and place it in your refrigerator. As the liquid mixture cools, the butter will float Then, you can skim it off.
