Are There Any Entrepreneurs Out There? Starting a Microgreen Farm and Looking to Connect With Like Minded People

in #food7 years ago

I am in the process of starting my first business and I'm looking to connect with other business owners out there for advice and inspiration. The business I am staring with my best friend is called Auxano Microgreens. We will be growing microgreens in a warehouse in downtown Ellensburg WA and selling to restaurants and the local community.

I would also love to hear from any chefs out there who cook with microgreens. What kinds of microgreens do you like to cook with and what kind of product could we provide to best serve people like you?

Entrepreneur checking in! I find the whole microgreens industry to be so fascinating. There've been some big deals going down in that industry.

There are some meetups in Tri-Cities for entrepreneurs. I've been going to as many as I can so I can surround myself with like minded people and network a bit. You could try meetup.com to see if there are any groups in Ellensburg.

Hey Austin, I don't know much about micro greens, but you can hashtag #sbo (small business owners). I created this tag in order to try and build a bit of a steemit community among those of us who own small businesses. Hope this helps!

I'm an Artrepreneur. Super stoked for you, not sure much art business lessons transcend well to microgreens but, the most important thing I've learned in business is to be flexible with plans. Plans will always evolve as you actually execute them, so, the most important part is to start executing, because the plan will never be "perfect" and go exactly as planned anyway lol

I think that is great advice. My business partner and I traveled to 20 countries a couple summers ago and made up the plan as we went. We've learned that you gotta just be open to what the universe wants you to experience and take opportunities as they come.

Sounds like a great idea! Good luck there! Followed you back. :)

What an interesting business choice... good luck sir.

Is that image yours, cuz they look sooooo fresh and alive!? I cant offer you any advice as you requested.... but it sounds like a cool career path. Keep us posted!

The pic is not mine. We should start growing in a couple weeks. Looking at a building later today.

what's your electric bill?

We don't have one yet but I will let you know. Should be $100-$200 a month at first.

how many square feet of crops and what sort of lights are you using?

We'll start off small to learn and start getting customers. We have a 1600 square foot place to grow into. LED lights.

keep everyone updated, making money on steemit is practically a sure thing

Good business Idea. I'm not into that but I would like to know about your progress and here where I'm living now could be a good business opportunity I think.
