Reading this post gave me more insight about it. Sugarcane is one the agricultural products everybody should invest on. Some country don't really appreciate it because they have it in excess. The health benefit is much more than what we can just talk about in few words. It is also a raw material for other product.
I remember growing up and usually watch an advert of a seasoning called Ajilomoto and it was made from Sugarcane. Sugarcane is all my brother always blend in his bottle when going to play football.
I realize the secret of Sugarcane when I joined the school football team. The rate at which Sugarcane juice replenish energy level is spectacular. Taking sugarcane juice early in the morning can give you enough energy needed to finish your work out without fatigue or dehydration.
Thank you for this article.

Hi Buddy that's The reason Sugarcane is a popular drink during summers is because it gives an instant kick of energy and quenches the thirst. Sugarcane juice is good source of glucose which as we know, helps to re-hydrate the human body and gives it a boost of energy. So instead of your artificial energy drink, the next time you feel fatigued or dehydrated, consider drinking a glass of cane juice.

Yes buddy, You are right:)

Sugar cane was once used for sweetner for coke and pepsi- but was replaced by corn syrup- which is why so many americans are obese and have diabetes. I dont consume soft drinks, just water, iced tea with sugar and honey from the bee hives on the island. I also have some sugar cane growing in my yard. To plant it, cut the sugar cane, then dig a small trench and lay it on its side in the trench, then cover it up. It likes water and grows easily. it also attracts snakes. I would like to buy a sugar cane press, to make my own juice, if anyone knows where I can buy one. Thanks, Marco. Voted, followed!

Thanks for your valuable comments. Misspelled dear:)

So much happy to follow you

Thanks dear :)

nice topic i really appreciate

This was a great read. In my country, Sugar cane can be found virtually anywhere. people mostly eat them as fruits. The Hausas are noted for being sugarcane vendors which they also consume in large quantities.
Refined sugar, though sold in my country, has not been brought to the level where plantations can provide employment and skill acquisition for the huge labor force we have stagnating today.
This is something worth thinking about. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks dear :)
Sugar cane is very tasty from the beat sugar. But most of sugar what we see in the market they are really beat sugar. Beat sugar is sweet as like as sugar cane and also same color. So we do not identify which sugar is made from cane or beat. But when take its smell then you easily identify. Cane sugar has its own smell but the beat sugar has no smell and not so tasty as like as cane sugar. Thanks for comment.

Oh i didn't know that. I tend to shy away from sugar in whatever form for health reasons. diabetes is very common among men in my country.

Very nice :=)

Good post @audreylogan

Nice post. in my country. aceh. sugar cane can be made you drink. I really like. have you ever drank a sugarcane drink? if not you should try it

That's the good stuff! I HATE the high fructose corn syrup trash that they put in almost everything nowadays. Too much sugar is bad, but I'd rather have sugar than that corn syrup garbage.

Corn syrup is why so many Americans are obese and have diabetes. Dont drink or eat products with corn syrup!

I agree, one of the worst things to put in your body.

if in Indonesia that name tebu

Hey buddy! The real taste of sugar cane can be tasted if you eat it like munching the very tube of the cane... Just love the sweet taste of it, i just remembered my childhood days with your post buddy @ audreylogan!

I like to eat them just taking the skin off and cut them in small cubes.

What would have happened if we did not have sugar? If you do not have sugar, it will be said to increase the speed of the earth, but again it is also true that if there is no sugar, then the food list has to be changed overnight. Yes, today in most countries of the world sugar has become an essential food for everyday life. As a result, sugar production has become an art of the whole world.

Nice post! Thanks for sharing, yes the importance of sugar cane to humanity cannot be over- emphasised. I follow and upvote you.

How sure are you that the Persians discovered something that already existed ? There are a few cultures that predate the Persians by thousands of years.
