Are you a green smoothie lover too? It is no secret that I am. If you haven't jumped on the green smoothie bandwagon yet I might be a good new years resolution to get started. Whether you have them as a power snack or breakfast, adding a green drink to your daily life will benefit you in so many ways.

Green smoothies make it possible to meet your daily need of many important nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, fibers, and antioxidants in just one serving. They could even cover the entire recommended five servings of fruit and veggies a day.

To make your green smoothie a complete and filling meal it is important to include all macronutrients, being lean protein, healthy fat, and high-fiber complex carbs. Green smoothies that contain all macronutrients will fill you up until your next meal or snack while providing you with all the nutrients and energy you need to fully energize your body with the right kind of health-promoting nutrients.

COMPLETE AND FILLING PINK MEAL ON THE GO 🐰 πŸƒπŸŒΊ

Ingredients (serves 2 for breakfast)

2 cups fresh spinach or kale
2 cups unsweetened almond milk
2-2.5 cups berries of your choice (I used a mix strawberry and raspberry)
1 big banana, frozen to add extra creaminess and chill the smoothie
2 tablespoons almond butter
ΒΌ cup old-fashioned rolled oats

Directions

  1. Blend spinach and almond milk until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend again. If the smoothie is too thick, add more liquid base. If you have a high-speed blender, throw everything in at once.
  2. Optional: top with toppings/superfoods of your choice. I used hemp hearts this time.

Do you have the version of a green alcoholic smoothie? That would be brilliant!

Oh yes! Take any green smoothie and your fav alcohol... hehe. One with coconut water, pineapple, banana (or avocado), mint, and spinach is always nice with rum ;)

Thanks, @givemeyoursteem ;) Homemade almond butter is the best. Though I like cashew and peanut butter too ;)
